Stage 4 is report generation. Raw simulation data is not intelligence. Things to Know Before You Build With This
Swarm simulation has real constraints. Being clear about them is not pessimism, it is how you build something useful rather than something impressive that does not work.
The quality of the simulation depends entirely on the quality of the agent models. If the personality distributions do not reflect real market participant behaviour, the simulation will produce coherent results that are wrong. Building good agent models requires domain expertise and careful calibration against historical data. This is the hard part.
Compute intensity scales with fidelity. Running 1000 parallel simulations with complex agents is expensive. At small scale with modern cloud infrastructure it is tractable. At larger scale, more agents, longer timeframes, higher-resolution models, compute costs become a real constraint on the depth of analysis you can run in a reasonable time window.
